Rachel Persaud has performed on stages throughout Canada and Europe. Her style is a beautiful combination of jazz, gospel, folk and classical. After attending Etobicoke School of the Arts, Rachel graduated from Wilfrid Laurier’s music where she majored in voice performance and English. She is now finishing her world musical entitled Beta. Rachel has performed at most of the hot jazz joints in town and Ontario. She has a special passion for concert settings and favors playing at recital halls where she can display the wide and vast array of her musical talents.
Rachel’s original compositions have been featured on 97.3 Easy Rock, CFRB 1010, Prime T.V, and many more. She has also written and performed for film and documentaries. Her talent has been described as “Rich yet tender with intense passion and sweetness. Rachel has a creativity that inspires, with her warmth and depth of both person and sound.”
