The Dance Theatre Studio is thrilled to be returning to the Beaches Jazz Festival Mainstage for a second year! This group of performers sing & dance, and are always thoroughly entertaining! Joining TDTS on the Mainstage will be the fabulous lead vocals of Susan Dunstan (Susan has performed in "Lord of the Rings" & "The Lion King" among others). TDTS been part of the Beach community for the past three years and is always happy to contribute to local events benefiting the Toronto arts and entertainment industry. This year TDTS will be bringing a little New Orleans to the stage !

Stacey-Lea Marhue is the owner/artistic director of TDTS. She has been a dancer, singer and actress in the entertainment industry for the past 20 years. Selected stage credits include, "Miss Saigon" in Toronto (Princess of Wales Theatre), "The Who's Tommy" in Toronto (Elgin Theatre), "Rent" (US, Japan & Canadian touring company), The Lion King in Toronto (Princess of Wales Theatre). Film & TV credits include Gene Rodenberry's "Earth Final Conflict", Tri Star Prod. "Sing", Sony CD Rom interactive Game "Global Domination", and numerous TV commercials. As well as performing, Stacey-Lea enjoys teaching and choreographing. She has taught at various schools for the TDSB and the TCSB, both in the Performing Arts department & the Physical Education Department.

You may have seen her choreographic work in Malvern Colligiate's production of "West Side Story", or in the Beaches Jazz Festival last year at The Distillery District Mainstage where her group of performers wowed the crowd doing a medley from "Chicago" and "Victor Victoria". In October 2007 Stacey-Lea developed and directed the "Save Our Tata's" Breast Cancer Benefit Performance in the Beach, which included performances by the cast of "We Will Rock You" (Mirvish Productions). Because of the success of the "Save Our Tata's" Benefit Performance, Stacey-Lea has been asked by the Canadian Cancer Society to make it an annual event!

The Dance Theatre Studio is located at 1A Hannaford St (at Kingston Rd), and offers various classes to kids, teens and adults. Including Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Pilates, Yoga, Singing, Acting and much more!
