| THE BEACHES INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL CELEBRATING OUR 20TH ANNIVERSARY! |
The Beaches International Jazz Festival has grown steadily since that first year of an afternoon of Jazz in the park into a prominent cultural event that annually hires around 700 artists and attracts an audience of over 1 million fans. Now, in celebration of our 20th anniversary, Beaches Jazz has enhanced its musical offerings to include an additional weekend at Woodbine Park which complements the well established Main Stage concerts at Kew Gardens, StreetFest, our Jazz related workshops and special community based events. Woodbine Park pays homage on two of its three stages, to the next generation of jazz artistry, showcasing New Generation and Youth Artists who'll undoubtedly be keeping the Festival "hep" and in business for decades to come.

There are numerous great music festivals held locally and worldwide, but what makes the Beaches International Jazz Festival so unique, is the fact that it continues to be community based and free (thanks to the support of our corporate and government partners), while offering world class entertainment and a vibrant festival atmosphere.

So as always, we're pleased to announce an exciting line-up featuring over 100 bands, emerging and established, local and non-local, each introducing us to their particular style of jazz, to their cross-cultural influences and to the energizing unpredictability of creating musical expression - live and improvised! Check our website for bios, photos, and show times for outstanding acts including:

Artistic Director Bill King, Producer Lido Chilelli, and the rest of the Beaches Jazz Festival Team would like to extend a warm welcome to join us and raise a toast to the 20th anniversary of the 2008 Beaches International Jazz Festival!
