Added attractions in 1992 of a dozen bands performing on selected street corners and rooftops on Queen Street East, between Woodbine Avenue and Beech Avenue was so successful, that these exciting festivities turned into a permanent feature of the 5th Beaches Jazz Festival! On the evenings of July 21st, 22nd and 23rd, over 20 bands played at the festival turning the 5th Annual Beaches Jazz Festival into a compilation and variety of music including calypso, Latin, fusion, steel drums, and of course, jazz! On July 24th and 25th, MC and Musical Director Bill King once again welcomed an array of local and international artists to the Kew Garden (Alex Christie) Bandshell. In addition, the 5th Beaches Jazz Festival included over 20 arts and crafts exhibitors at Kew Garden for all visitors to enjoy.
