La Sonora Habanera is one of Toronto’s best kept secrets in the Latin music scene; playing hard core salsa, cumbia and aggressive merengues that are sure to stop music lovers and dancers in their tracks, and have them begging for more.  La Sonora Habanera came out of a collaboration of some top musicians in Toronto in 2010 who had a mutual goal to bring back the Latin Orchestra sound that has been missing from the Latin music scene.  Bringing together a sound that is like no other.  Playing contemporary and old school salsa to the modern day cumbia and merengue.  La Sonora Habanera has backed many international artists such as: Junior Gonzalez, Maelo Ruiz, Sonora Dinamita to name a few.  La Sonora Habanera is well on its way to becoming “THE” band of the Toronto Latin Music Scene.
