LADY SON Y ARTICULO VEINTE is a Latin fusion band with an original sound. From the female lead Vocalist, to the funky bass, to the wild antics of the keyboard player, the piercing Violins, the various hard core percussion, electrifying vocals and terrific trumpet. LADY SON Y ARTICULO VEINTE exude a vibe never seen or heard before. Lady Son brings classic Afro-Latin roots into a new age and century. She combines different musical genres and sounds of the new age to her music while maintaining the essence,history and roots of the NuYorican style Salsa and Guajiro culture Son Montuno from Cuba. Lady Son writes all original material and every song has an important message about life, love, and the social issues that affect us all. Lady Son honours the great Salseros and Soneros of the 20th century by remembering them and continuing to add to this diverse and pulsating genre of Latin music. Join LADY SON Y ARTICULO VEINTE in turning the page from the Salseros and Soneros of the 20th century into a celebration of their contribution to Latin music through LADY SON'S classic sound with a modern twist. Articulo Veinte is a Canadian project. The idea was born here, and houses all Canadian musicians of different cultural backgrounds. This is one of the amazing elements to this band, as it maintains such an authentic sound true to the nature of Cuban Son and Nuyorican Salsa, combining the many sounds of the different cultures represented in this band. From Russia, to Japan, to Isreal, Nigeria, Mexico,El Salvador, and even Etobicoke Toronto A20 has been around the world and back! All musicans Although native to Canada are an example of the melting pot of this wonderful city and the fact that We as Canadians can also live within the wonderful sounds of Music from other cultures. A20 is one of the few Latin acts in the city that has been playing together for as long as three years using only main stay musicians and rarley hiring Substitute players. When you see A20 you will see the same musicians every time...The band is solid in sound, and has a wonderful working relationship which is evident when seeing them on stage.
